The Toronto Bucket List

Before I leave Toronto, I plan to experience its many attractions as a repose from the academic grind. Witness the flags marking thesis corrections:

Fortunately, most of these are done. I am now just waiting for my committee and examiners to agree on an oral defense date.

Meanwhile, I distracted myself with a rather more pleasant sort of grind at Balzac’s Coffee Roastery in Toronto’s Distillery District. The cafe au lait was spectacular, but the americano was perhaps slightly better.

It was a little too far for Snug the pug to accompany us to Balzac’s, but he did manage to walk to Bonjour Brioche and back. He is a pug who enjoys excursions, for example, to Toronto Island:

Snug loved hanging out with the other puggies at a recent pugalug there.

An upcoming attraction is Nuit Blanche, where you can enjoy contemporary art all night long.

There are many more things to do besides, so the list will continue…
