Design-Based Research

I have blogged about design-based research (aka design experiments or design research) before, but I thought I’d share some new resources that I’ve come across from reading an entry from U of M’s Learning Technologies Centre Research Blog last month.

First, there’s a website for a tutorial that was held at ED-MEDIA 2007 that provides lots of links and downloads that might be of interest:

One of the links I found interesting on this site is a newer website (November 2006) called The Design-Based Research EPSS. It was created by the instructional technology students at University of Georgia under the direction of Thomas Reeves and Chandra Orill. On this site, be sure to check out the expert videos page to see clips of interviews with Allan Collins, Sasha Barab, Paul Cobb and others!

The other site that I wanted to mention is an old one. It’s among those that Lynn Davie referred me to when I was first learning about design experiments in a qualitative research course:
