The view from there

To test out more flickr features, I decided to see what a blog entry would look like entered from their site.

It works pretty well. I can also login through Movable Type and edit the html. Works well enough, in fact, that I can focus on the content of this blog entry: the view from my brother’s new pad in Gastown, looking out on the North Shore where I grew up. To the left, you can see the Vancouver landmark of five sails at Canada Place, where the cruise ships dock to go up the coast to Alaska, and just beyond that the famous Stanley Park. It’s enough to make any displaced Vancouverite despair. Maybe I’ll visit after the IKIT 2005 Summer Institute.
