I spent about 48 hours writing two conference proceedings papers using Writely. Blood shot eyes, wild hair, articles stacked all over my office. And for a moment there, I thought I couldn’t upload the files onto the conference website!
Wendy and I were co-authors on one paper in Writely, and we also gave each other permissions to share our single-author papers. I liked being able to see that she was working on her paper while I worked on mine so that I didn’t feel like I was the only person working on these papers on the weekend for hours on end.
I did switch back and forth between Writely and Word, because I like to work on the laptop in different places, not always online. I found Writely more stable than Word, which at one point kept crashing and losing my carefully worded sentences.
Onward and forward to the next deadline!
